If you’re an entertainment geek, chances are, you want your entertainment system to be perfect. The age of wired systems have passed, and in comes the era of wireless tech – if you have the cash, anyway. However, if you want a cheaper alternative, Vizio’s new sound bar system might be up your alley.

The Vizio SB3621n-E8 is the latest in Vizio’s sound bar system offerings. It looks like an ordinary sound bar at first glance, but who would think this packs a big punch?

The Vizio sound bar is completely wireless, and is extremely powerful despite its rather miniature appearance. The bar is only 6.7 x 11.8 x 7.9 inches, and has a 5.4 inch woofer.

Interestingly, the device is also extremely packed, as it is only 36 x 2.1 x 3.2 inches. As with other sound bar systems, it can connect to optical, digital, USB, and Bluetooth 4.0 input.

Seems ordinary, right? But did you know you can buy it for $149?

Of course, you can’t really hope for it to do miracles in huge spaces. However, if you have an entertainment room of your own, Vizio’s baby can do wonders. It presents clear and dynamic sound, provided the footage opened is clear as well. If it’s big, the sound is big, and the opposite also happens. Clearly beyond what any kind of $150 device could give.

Tech savants would also be curious to know that this is the first sound bar to ever earn five stars in CNET on top of an Editor’s Choice rating. Steve Guttenberg said he would still be enthused with the $149 speaker if it had sold for a steep $300 or $400.
